Abstract

Development of road pavements is a consolidated procedure of designing and calculations of strength, frost resistance and drainage. Strength calculation is a complex procedure involving several criteria, in fact reducing to meeting two requirements: restriction of accumulation of residual deformations in structure and prevention of fatigue cracking in monolith asphalt concrete layers. This article proposes to improve functions of calculated properties of road bed soils and asphalt concretes for calculations according to criteria of both the first and the second groups of ultimate limit states. Such proposals are aimed at harmonization of calculations procedures of road pavements with regulations in the field of soil science and asphalt concrete materials
