Abstract
The optimal mixing conditions for permeable cold recycled asphalt, which recycled waste asphalt and used Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) resin, was assessed through verification of the performance. The highest Marshall stability and flow value were 14,280 N and 23.5 (1/10 mm) for the mixing ratio consisting of the MMA resin at 4% and hardener at 3%. The porosity and permeability coefficient for the condition with greatest Marshall stability were most outstanding with 20.4% and 0.94 cm/sec, respectively. Dynamic stability (DS) were the conducted evaluations at 25℃, deflection in the center of the test specimens decreased, and the deformation rate and DS were measured to be 1.21 mm/min and 4,070 times/min, respectively. The optimal mixing condition that satisfied mechanical performance and durability among the test conditions assessed in this study was found to be 4% MMA mixed, 3% hardener. Also, after the test Field applicability, it was not cause problem, such as this stripping, falling and crack of pavement. Therefore, it was confirmed to be performance of equal or higher than of existing technology.
