Abstract
The paper contains the comparative analysis of the Ostromir Gospels (1056-1057) and the Synodal translation of the Bible in order to identify lexical variations (alternatives). A source of the analysis are identic contexts from the Bible. Besides the author examines the materials of the others Old Slavonic written manuscripts. As a result of the comparative analysis some lexical options reflecting both synonymic and hyper-hyponymic relations and derivational variability were revealed.
