Abstract
This paper introduces the idiom as a language phenomenon which causes challenges in comprehension and translation into L1, as the meaning of the whole idiomatic expression cannot be guessed from the meanings of its components. Moreover, idioms convey historical, cultural, philosophical information about the particular people.
