Abstract
The literature which deals with Ciudad Juárez has been produced both by authors who reside in this city and by outlander creators. The first one, Ricardo Vigueras-Fernández has named as juarense, since -he says- the authors are familiar with its surroundings; but in the case of the second one, Vigueras-Fernández names it as juarica, because the Northern Mexican border has served as inspiration for foreign writers, but they are not very well aware of both the context and the events in the city. In this article we will analyze some works of various authors from Juárez and see that, broadly speaking their creations can be qualified as realistic and having close links with the recent history of Ciudad Juárez.
