Abstract
Unilateral choanal atresia is more common than bilateral cases. Unilateral cases may present later in life with unilateral nasal congestion and mucoid rhinorrhea. Pure bony atresia represents 30% of cases while mixed bony and membranous atresia is more common (70%).
