Abstract
FB inhalation in children is not uncommon and may escape notice by the parents as well as physicians, because of lack of knowledge of exact history. Glottic impaction of FB often leads to laryngospasm and sudden complete airway obstruction and death with peak incidence at 1-3 years.2 years old female child presented to our OPD with no definite history of FB inhalation, but with History of recurrent respiratory infection for past 1 month. Chest X-Ray revealed FB left bronchus (backing to earring). Trial removal by bronchoscopy was done 2 times but failed. Intravenous antibiotics and steroid nebulisation was continued. When planning for thoracotomy and removal is considered, the fortunate event of spontaneous expulsion of FB occurred following a violent cough .This case, it was late presentation and FB was entrapped with granulation. Medically child was given steroid nebulisation and spontaneous expulsion of FB occurred. Corticosteroid nebulisation cleared the oedema and reduced granulation which enabled the spontaneous expulsion of the FB
