Abstract
This article gives an overview of essence of consumer loyalty and reveals some of mechanisms for its work. The author highlights the characteristics of "true customer loyalty". Also, issue of managing customer loyalty is being investigated; Possible methods for evaluating the effectiveness of consumer loyalty programs are given.
