Abstract
The article discusses the modern approaches to the concept of learning style and deals with the com- parative analysis of two types of learning styles models relevant for foreign language instruction. Simple models are based on the dichotomy of opposite learning styles while complex models include several styles character- ized by different categorization of their qualities
