Abstract
In the article, the influence of failures of automotive alternators on their thermal state is considered. The technique of an assessment of a thermal state at the fixed rotor speed and power of consumers is given. The assessment of a thermal condition of the serviceable generator is made and at physical modeling of characteristic electric failures. Emergence and development of failures is followed by growth of temperature of the generator, and in size of an overheat it is possible to make identification of failures. The received results can form the basis of automatic system of an operational assessment of technical condition of automotive alternators.
