Abstract
In the article, the data on fibre length and output of G.Hirsutum L. and G.Barbadense L. cotton varieties and their hybrids are analysed. The conducted analysis of fibre length and output allows concluding that the studied varieties are distinguished by allele status and the studied properties are inherited in a polygenetic way. Due to that fact, it is possible to allocate the high-output and long-fibred plants with the indices exceeding the maximum manifestation of properties of parent varieties in F2 and the following generations
