Abstract
This paper is an attempt to research the linguistic features of the generic toponyms of Maaltaany, of Khangalass region in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), in Russia. It is 120 kilometers from Yakutsk. Maaltaany is in the west of the capital city, Yakutsk. This study mainly focuses on the four Turkic languages, Sakha, Altai, Khakas, and Tuvan that are spoken by approximately 730.000 speakers in Siberia. These languages share some linguistic similarities, being genetically related, and due to contact with neighboring languages.
