Abstract
The article discusses the "Ezbekie" poem by N.S. Gumilyov as a derivative text and biographical myth. Using the historical-genetic and biographical methods of literary analysis, using cultural background information we reveal the feature of intertextual links of the poem with the tradition of A.S. Pushkin. The study refuted the biographical myth about the N.S. Gumilyov's first journey in Egypt.
