MODPLAN: recurso educacional aberto como apoio ao processo de ensino e aprendizagem de Modelagem Plana

The rise of fashion throughout the world has led to the need for skilled labor and has led various Education Institutions to create courses related to clothing and fashion to qualify professionals for this expanding market. In the state of Piauí, only in the period between 2008 and 2016, six (6) courses were implemented in this area. Among the various disciplines that exist in these courses is the Flat Modeling that, in most cases, the students present difficulties in the learning process, regarding the construction of flat molds. Such difficulty is perceived, since they complete the activity, done mechanically, and do not understand that the built molds will form a clothing, because they can not make this visualization. In view of this, the present article, a research result of the Professional Master's Degree in Technology and Management in Distance Education / UFRPE, aimed to develop an Open Educational Resource that facilitates the understanding of Flat Modeling, since the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a support to the teaching and learning process is a constant in educational institutions, in addition to the fact that students live connected most of the time. This is a qualitative and quantitative study, where the results are analyzed in both ways. The participants who participated in this research were 39 (thirty-nine) students of the Technical Course in Clothing of the IFPI Campus Teresina Zona Sul, who were attending the course. The research scenario was the aforementioned Teaching Institution, where the Apparel course is offered. As a data collection instrument, questionnaires were used to evaluate the resource. It was verified, through the results of the evaluation, that the resource can contribute with the teaching and learning process of the Industrial Modeling Model.
