Abstract
Ernest Hemingway's A Clean, Well-lighted Place is presumably one of his most written about short stories of all time. In this short story, Hemingway endeavors to sketch the frustrating and lonesome condition of the western old generation and the reaction of the younger generation to that frustration. He very precisely but beautifully has pointed out some important issues of the then American society which is exceeding its limit day by day. This study seeks to bring those problems on the limelight for one more time and also tries to give some possible solutions based on Islam.
