Abstract
The article presents the features of the ethnic culture of Meshchera, which does not stand out as a na- tion now, but the fact of its relatively recent existence makes to be more tightly focused on this problem. There are some interesting examples, confirming the presence of hitherto existing remnants of the Meshchera culture
