Study of the polymorphism of the aroe gene in Kabardino-Balkarian Republic residents of the senior age group

The study of polymorphism of the APOE gene in the population of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the older age group was carried out. The predominance of the E4 / E4 genotype over the heterozygous genotype E3 / E4 is shown. The frequencies of alleles of the APOE gene differ slightly from those of the West European population, which is related to the specific composition of the sample. A positive relationship between the level of cardiovascular diseases and the genotypic structure of the sample was established.
