Abstract
This paper explores the uses of social networking in México, pointing cases where some social problems became visible from the organization of citizens through this tool, this can contribute to a discussion and therefore , to a strengthening of citizen participation, but also can be co-opted by the political and traditional media or, as it starts to happen, to criminalize certain types of messages.
