ASSOCIATION OF METHYLENETETRAHYDROFOLAT REDUCTASE C677T/A1298C POLIMORPHYSMS WITH THE SUSCEPTIBILITY TO CHIDHOOD OF NONSYNDROMIC CLEFT LIPS WITH OR WITHOUT CLEFT PALATES IN NORTHERN SULAWESI POPULATION

Background Cleft Lip / Cleft Palate are the most common congenital abnormality found in this world. Results There is a significant association relationship C677T and A1298C genotypes between case and control groups. Conclusions In the C677T and A1298C polymorphism there is a relationship with the possibility of nonsyndromic children cleft lip with or without cleft palate in northern Sulawesi.
