Abstract
The issues of the formation of Ukrainian statehood after the First World War in the context of European mental changes that have rejected the creation of an independent Ukrainian state for many years are considered. The concepts of O. Bochkovsky and Y. Lypa as the main ideologists of the Ukrainian national liberation movement are considered.
