Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomenon of "the architecture of crime" and proposes to consider the architectural construction of the city not only in connection with the moment of committing the crime, but also as a condition for the formation of the personality of the offender. Today, the problem of the existence of criminogenic conditions, due to unsuccessful planning of cities and residential areas, is gaining in popularity. However, this issue is not sufficiently analyzed in Ukraine. The article presents the results of foreign experiments on the impact of city architecture on the level of crime. Also, the results of a study by domestic scientists on the identification of factors that influence the increase of the criminogenicity of certain districts of the city. It is emphasized on the prerogative of the social factor over biological in criminal behavior. A new model of city planning is also proposed, which will prevent the development of an anti-socially oriented person. In particular, the circular model of city construction is proposed. It is believed that this model will provide favorable conditions for the simultaneous uniform development of all parts of the city. This, in turn, will create favorable conditions for the formation of a person.
