Abstract

The article formulates the importance of values of the European Union. The method of their protection against violations by the EU member states has been investigated. The article discusses the application of Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union. The procedure of application of preventive mechanism is determined. The procedure of suspension of membership of the offending state is formulated.
