Abstract
In this article a new discovered screw press stone, which was documented in Orhaniye village around ancient Nikaia during the researches in frame of the cultural inventory project in Bursa and its districts, is presented. The cubic shaped blockstone from white marble with dowel holes on its upper surface and an eight armed cross pattern on its front side could be used as an altar base or a kind of grave monument (?). In accordance with pattern on front side the marble block might be used primarily in 5. – 6. Century AD. However, there isn't any trace on the block, which indicates when the block was used as spolie with the function of screw press stone.
