Abstract
This article describes the development of an algorithm for determining the optimum concentration of harmful compounds in industrial emission s. In this paper, the problem of determining the minimum concentration is considered using the non - linear programming method. The method of nonlinear programming is divided into two meth- ods: the steepest descent method and the approximating programming met hod. The task of such an algorithm is to find such a ratio of the concentrations of the initial substances at which the lowest concentration of the harmful compound formed as a result of the chemical reaction of the starting substances is formed.
