BSE GREENEX: ADDING GREENNESS TO INDIAN STOCK MARKET

In wake of global warming phenomenon and the consequential problems it is and will be bringing along, every sector be it Government, Business etc is increasingly coming up with diverse policies/solutions to this problem. This paper is an attempt to discusses in detail one such innovative step taken in our nation is this direction; BSE GREENEX, BSE 25th dynamic and India's first Green Index that assesses the carbon performance of stocks based on quantitative performance. The paper also highlights some of the major green stocks in Indian Capital Market, also showing their returns over period of time.
