Abstract

The topics of haivky and their main motives were analyzed in the article. The images and symbols of the texts were explored, the features and gestures in the performance of these songs were described. It is proved that haivky are performed with a practical magic purpose. It was revealed that the second and totemanimistic images are symbolic. It the article haivky, recorded from the villagers of Pidlissia, were analized. The songs belong to various thematic groups: vegetative, intimatr-lyrical (love), entertaining-humorous.
