Abstract
The article analyzes contemporary forms of theatricalized vocal-instrumental genres, in which the use of pop singing is possible. It is emphasized that these genres are very popular due to the fact that they are best suited to the needs of the contemporary public. It is stated that the musical and rock opera in the western space are an integral part of the show business and are more popular than in the national culture. It is noted that in the Ukrainian culture there is a series of phenomena associated with the spread of popular manner of singing, such as performances and theatrical concerts, which include elements of scenography, creating an action of a synthetic nature. Theatricalized vocal-instrumental genres have considerable potential for the use of pop vocal, because they combine the achievements of different types of art and have a significant influence on the audience.
