Abstract
The protective properties of «Oberig-5» and «Pantsyr 3-95M» armor-piercing under shock load conditions are studied. Numerous experimental tests have been carried out on the study of protective properties of the bulletproof vest and their shock characteristics have been figured out. The formula, which describes the dependence of the speed of the bullet on the distance of the shot is proposed. This formula allows calculating the safe distance for the soldier and the depth of deformation of the bulletproof vest after the hit of the bullet.
