Abstract

This article deals with the role of national traditions in formation of the values system basis, education of the national and cultural identity at children; the functions of national holidays, the priority directions of the Russian national traditions are revealed; in detail a model thematic day of organized educational activity in preschool educational establishments on the designated subject is described.
