Evaluation of genetic parameters of lines of maize on the basis of "plant height"

Plant height is one of the important features correlatively associated with other economically valuable indicators such as the height of the cob, foliage, lodging and productivity. In addition, it serves as an important indicator in the industrial technology of maize cultivation, as well as in the selection of parent pairs in the areas of hybridization. The height of maize plants is closely correlated with many morphological features and elements of productivity, as well as with such indicators as combinational ability and productivity.
