Abstract
The domestic and foreign experience in the construction of highways, the condition of the roads of Russia, Europe and the USA are examined and compared. Possibilities and prospects of using foreign experience for improving the quality of road construction, including the use of geotextiles, polymer stabilizers of soil, and recycled automobile tires are described.
