Abstract
Pathology of the thyroid gland is currently one of the most common in the structure of human endocrine system diseases. Notably, in women, diseases of this organ are 10-17 times more often than in men. As a rule, structural and functional changes of the thyroid gland predominantly debut in reproductive age and the absence of timely correction can lead to the development of severe complications. During the last 30 years, special attention is paid to the work of the thyroid gland in women of fertile age, as an organ that has a great influence on the possibility of natural conception, the preservation of pregnancy, the incidence of complications of pregnancy and childbirth. The influence of the hormonal activity of the thyroid gland during gestation on the growth, development of the fetus and the child after birth, due to violations in the structure of the mother-placenta-fetus system, is also known for certain. [1] The aim of our study was to identify complications of pregnancy and childbirth in women with structural and functional changes in the thyroid gland, and who entered the III level obstetric facility located in the Republic of Mordovia in the period from March to November 2017. A retrospective analysis of 57 histories of women giving birth with the endocrine system pathology of interest to us was carried out during the above period. At the same time, we found that in 26 cases pregnancy occurred with the use of IVF. There were such complications of gestation as iron deficiency anemia, obesity of the I degree, preeclampsia, edema caused by pregnancy, hydramnion, hypamnion, placental disorders, insufficient development of the fetus. The following extragenital pathology was revealed: diabetes mellitus, myocardiodystrophy, neurocirculatory dystonia. In addition, there are such complications of childbirth as premature birth, premature rupture of the amniotic membranes, discoordinated labor
