Abstract
Nowadays, it is important to study the spread of calicivirus in animals with individual and group content, the search for drugs for nonspecific stimulation of immunity, effective in the disease of calicivirus infection in order to optimize therapeutic measures. The problem of infectious diseases of the cat family is particularly acute not only in Russia but throughout the world. One of such disease is caliciviral infection in cats. Despite the high degree of illumination of the problem, calicivirosis cannot be completely eliminated. Recently, there has been a tendency to improve the managing of cats: the culture of vaccination is increasing and the quality of vaccines is constantly growing; highly effective measures are used to treat animals from endo-and exoparasites, which can cause immunodeficiency; availability of high-quality veterinary services. However, according to some reports, the calicivirus infection continues to cause damage to cat breeders. Often, the spread of the virus contributes to the high concentration of animals in shelters, kennels, areas of foster home, as well as visiting exhibitions, service, etc. In this case, there occurs stress, which causes reactivation of the virus, which leads to the emergence of the disease, appearance of clinical signs and release of the virus into the external environment. Specific, nonspecific prevention and monitoring of epizootic situation play a significant role in this pathology.
