Abstract
Dr M. K. Raina is an eminent Pharmacist, who obtained his M. Pharm. and Ph.D. Degrees from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He worked at Pharmacognosy Research Unit of Indian Council of Medical Research for 10 years before moving to the pharmaceutical and Ayurvedic Drug industry where he spent about 40 years including Consultancy projects of some leading pharma and ayurvedic companies in R&D, Production and QC. He worked full time with Ranbaxy Labs., New Delhi, Dabur Research Foundation, Ghaziabad and Lupin Labs., Mumbai. For over 20 years he worked as Technical Consultant to Hindustan Unilever, Quest Institute of Life Sciences (Nicholas Piramal), Biological Evans, Uttam Pharma, Charak Pharma, Emami Group, Glenmark, Konark Herbals, Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, etc. His international assignments include Beiersdorf (Nivea Group) Germany, Veve Group Albania, Munde de Salud, Dominican Republic, Ajay Group, Muscat and DDN Pharmaceutical Logistics, USA. He worked as an Advisor of United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and International Union for Conservation of Natural Resources (IUCN) to several countries like Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Uganda, Nigeria etc. in the field of Herbal Drug Development.
