Abstract
Improving energy efficiency is becoming increasingly critical to reduce the energy consumption and to solve the environmental crisis. With conventional global energy depletion, as well as environmental pollution, utilizing renewable energy for power supply is the only way for human beings to survive. Currently, utilization of energy incorporated into a distribution network has become the new trend, with the advantages of flexibility, controllability and tremendous potential. A battery energy storage system (BESS) has to be involved to mitigate the bad effects of distributed energy resources (DER) integration. In this paper, optimal scheduling strategies for BESS operation have been proposed to reduce the use of electricity of transmission and minimize the electricity cost. The battery energy storage system incorporates to sustain the real power source under fluctuating renewable energy scenario. The fuzzy logic control scheme for a grid connected renewable energy generation system for optimal power flow using MATLAB/SIMULINK in power system block set has been done. The effectiveness of proposed scheme relives the main supply source for renewable energy to control the output power
