Abstract
A circularly polarized 900 MHz patch antenna has been designed for reader component of the RFID system. The purpose of the antenna is to provide a low-cost and easy-fabricated solution with wide bandwidth and high performance. The main limitation will be the size of the antenna. Due to low center frequency the wavelength of the desired antenna will be large hence miniaturization of the antenna is achieved by slits. The design is simulated in HFSS software and antenna is optimized according to desired outputs
