Abstract
In the article the author, on the basis of generalization of ethnographic materials of the 19th - first quarter of the 20th centuries, has analyzed the toys of the Eastern Slavic children. The publication suggests that there were very few special toys for the Eastern Slavic children.
The publication deals with toys for toddlers and toys for boys and girls from 5 to 6 years of age, which they made for themselves for fun. The Eastern Slavic boys had the most widespread homemade toys of wood, pine bark, dandelion, hips, chickpeas, cane (houshold utility: little boats, taradaiki, little carts, little mills); girls had a doll.
