Abstract
A study was carried out between May and November of 2016 in the Student Residence of the University of Medical Sciences, Guantanamo based on the use of the educational potential of the extension activities and tasks that are carried out in that center, with the aim of Expose the results of the diagnosis made to the process of training and strengthening the value of responsibility. The population was 250 students and 25 workers in the area, and the sample of 100 students and the 25 workers mentioned above, being determined as indicators: manifestations of behavioral problems, violations of the "Carlos J. Finlay" Regulation, criticism and self-criticism, commitment, Consecration and level of response to assigned tasks, assistance and punctuality, concluding that the educational potential of the activities and tasks that are developed are not efficiently used.
