Abstract

Based on the current level of development of the theory of processes and devices of chemical technology and experimental methods of study of interfacial interaction of dispersed and continuous flows, local analytical and balance-criterion approaches to the calculation of in-phase-vortex apparatus with a tube bank are scientifically substantiated. The process of step-by-step crushing of the liquid film flowing down the surface of the tubular elements on the jets and drops under the influence of the vortex motion of the gas flow is described. Using the balance equations of forces acting on the film, trickle and drop, and the provisions of the theory of local isotropic turbulence, the calculated equations for determining the thickness of the films, the diameters of the jets and drops of liquid for pipes of circular and square cross-section are obtained.
