Abstract
The purpose, the arrangement of pressure fire hoses, the conditions for their operation, the brief analysis of publications on their strength calculation under hydraulic action, the achievements in the field of their calculation and design, in particular on the basis of the nonlinear theory of calculation of single-layer fabrics of linen weave, a new formula connecting the discontinuous internal hydraulic pressure in the fire hose with breaking load in the weft yarn and a number of other parameters. The formula obtained is used as the basis for the developed method of calculation and rational design of pressure fire hoses, which makes it possible to perform an important stage in the manufacture of new pressure fire hoses, namely, to perform the strength calculation and to select the rational parameters of the woven reinforcing armature of the hose.
