Abstract
Study of the mechanisms of antioxidant effects of phenolsulfides showed that both phenol OH and sulfides fragments in molecules give them the properties of bifunctional antioxidant inhibitors. The inhibitor surpasses industrial ionol antioxidant due to the presence of sulfide group and properties of its oxidizing conversion products, to catalyze the decay of cumyl hydroperoxide by ion mechanism.
