Abstract
The possibility of controlled fusion based on the internal injection of fast ions in low-temperature plasma is considered. It is shown that the induction gas discharge under the action of the back front of the strong magnetic field pulse is able to form a toroidal current layer with runaway electrons in the plasma vortex. In this layer due to Coulomb interactions of runaway electrons with slow ions, a flow of fast ions with a density sufficient to provide intense nuclear reactions can be generated.
