Abstract

This article presents the results of 14 wild-growing cultivated representatives of the genus Gossypium L. on the phenology of plants and the morphology of cotyledonous and real leaves, as well as of uneven-aged and mature seeds. The fastest-growing cultivated representative is the Sinalua variety (80 days), among the forms and varieties G. barbadense is subsp. ruderale: pisco and Ishan nigeria (white) and G. mustelinum. On the basis of the size of the leaves, the most primitive are the varieties Ishan nigeria (bel), and the advanced G. mustelinum and the subsp. vitifolium brasilense (gree), including subsp. ruderale: pisco. Among the forms and varieties of G. barbadense, the largest ovaries, semolina and mature seeds of ishan nigeria (white). Analyzing the data obtained on the number of ovules in uneven-aged ovaries and mature seeds in a capsule in varieties, it is established that G. hirsutum L. at all stages of development has more seeds than G. barbadense, and the potential seed productivity (PSP) is the lowest variety Mehnat. Mehnat and Besh-kahramon have one of the largest seeds (35) among the studied species, and to mature age Mehnat has 20 seeds in the box, and the Besh-kahramon variety has 27. Among G. barbadense varieties, the lowest PSP grade Surkhon-9, slightly higher relative to Surkhon-9 on Karshi-8 and Ashgabat-8. The highest PSP is among the forms and varieties of G. barbadense in both varieties of brasilense, as well as G. mustelinum.
