Characterization of nursing care in patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding

Abstract
A descriptive and prospective cross-sectional study was conducted at the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto "during 2015, with the aim of optimizing nursing care provided to patients diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, lower costs and stay. The sample consisted of 98 patients. The variables were analyzed: age group, sex, modes of Natural and Traditional Medicine .The group of most prevalent disease was :men 60 years and older with 64.3% of reported cases. It is concluded that these patients require specialized care nursing participatory and effectiveness of the MNT.
