Abstract
It was presented a case operated in the service at the General General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto" in 2104 with a diagnosis of MALT lymphoma. MALT lymphomas (lymphoid tissue associated with mucosa), type is the most recently discovered non-Hodgkin lymphomas variety, taking place primarily in the gastric mucosa associated with infection by Helicobacter pylori, and thyroid gland in connection with Hashimoto's thyroiditis . The primary lymphoma of the colon is a rare tumor of the gastrointestinal tract. In order to report a case of primary lymphoma of the colon and reviewed medical literature, this report on a 65 year old woman where the diagnosis was established by histopathological and immunohistochemical study (Immunoassay Center in Havana) with the injury occurs tumor taken by surgery. The final diagnosis was MALT lymphoma B cells, low grade (non-Hodgkin lymphoma).
