Abstract

Frosted branch angiitis is a rare clinical entity with bilateral retinal vasculitis with profound vascular sheathing found in young otherwise healthy patients. With high doses of systemic corticosteroids, fundus and visual acuity restores back to normal with a few sequelae. No systemic abnormality has been found to explain the etiology of this condition. We here report a case of frosted branch angiitis in a 28-year-old male who presented with sudden severe decrease in vision with extensive severe sheathing in left eye without any other systemic abnormality. Very few such cases have been reported in literature.
