Abstract
Mucus extravasation cysts or mucoceles are an extremely rare occurrence in the major salivary glands. We report two unusual cases of submandibular gland mucocele presenting as a neck lump. It can be considered as a differential diagnosis of swellings in the lateral neck .The development of mucocele depends on the disruption of flow of saliva from secretory apparatus of the salivary gland.
