Abstract

Aim of study: to evaluate effectiveness of application of complexes of physical factors (intravascular laser irradiation of blood in a complex with intermittent normobarichypoxytherapy, and magnetotherapy in a complex with intermittent normobarichypoxytherapy) in patients with bronchial asthma and comorbid essential hypertension. Materials and methods: 134 patients with moderate degree, mixed form, partially controllable bronchial asthma (BA) with a comorbid II degree II stage moderate risk essential hypertension (EH) were examined. The patients were divided into 3 groups: a comparison group including 44 individuals receiving conventional medicinal treatment and two basic groups. Patients of the 1stbasic group – 44 individuals – received a complex of physical factors including intermittent normobarichypoxytherapy (INHT) and intravascular laser irradiation of blood (ILIB) alongside with the basic medicinal treatment. Patients of the 2nd group – 46 individuals – received basic medicinal treatment and a complex of physical factors including intermittent normobarichypoxytherapy and magnetotherapy (MT). The effectiveness was evaluated using a visual analog scale, spirometry, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring (BPM24), examination of lipid composition of blood. Results: on treatment statistically significant improvementsin the dynamics of the course of the diseases were found. Decline in the bronchial asthma symptoms was more evident in patients who received ILIB and INHT; and decline of EH symptoms was more evident in patients who received INHT and MT, as compared to the control group. According to the results of spirometry, parameters of the respiration to a larger extent improved in patients who received INHT and ILIB; BPM(24) identified improvements in patients who used MT and INHT in treatment. Statistically significant improvement of the lipid spectrum parameters was seen in patients treated with ILIB and INHT. Conclusion: The obtained data of examination of patients with bronchial asthma and comorbid arterial hypertension who received complexes of physical factors permit to recommend these methods for use in complex treatment of such patients to improve effectiveness of treatment and of control of diseases.
