Survival behavior by CPR in Emergency Service

Abstract
A retrospective observational explanatory study is done in 80 cases of patients with cardiac arrest in Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit evaluated at the General Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto” Guantanamo during 2014 in order to determine the behavior of survival CPR. The variables were studied: age, sex, medical history, neurological outcome and survival hospital information obtained through review of medical records of patients that was incorporated into a database. It was found that elderly patients with medical history associated representing low survival cardiopulmonary post resuscitation; the Glasgow coma scale has a favorable survival predictive value greater than 8 points.
