Abstract
A prospective, descriptive study was conducted in the Pediatric Intensive Care at the General Teaching Hospital "Octavio de La Concepcion and La Pedraja" in the town of Baracoa from January to September 2014 on the prevalence of bronchopneumonia, with a universe of 250 patients taking 200 as sample .variable were studied :age ,sex, research conducted, therapeutic management and nursing diagnosis; It was reflected in a survey drawn up for this purpose obtaining a prevalence in children ages 5 to differences among females. Investigations were hematological, radiological, microbiological and high positivity among nursing diagnoses that prevailed: ineffective airway cleaning, hyperthermia, altered nutrition and health maintenance.
